Oxford and Cambridge Classics Open Day

The Oxford and Cambridge Classics Open Day is held on alternate years in Oxford and Cambridge. It offers a chance to find out more about applying to study Classics at Oxford and Cambridge with taster lectures, subject stands and lots of opportunities to chat with current students and academics. 

On Monday 24 March 2025 the event will be held in Oxford.

Open Day timetable
Who is the day for?
The open day is aimed at students aged 16+ who are interested in pursuing a Classics degree or a degree in the field of Classical studies. It offers the chance to find out more about Classical subjects in general, as well as the specific degree programmes offered by Oxford and Cambridge.
Can parents and teachers attend?
Parents and teachers are welcome to attend the Q&A session at 3pm in the Garden Quad reception room but only prospective students will be admitted to the auditorium. 
How many tickets can I book?
Individuals must book their own tickets. Group bookings are not permitted.
How many tickets are available?
The auditorium seats a maximum of 180 people. Once all tickets are sold booking will close.
Is there parking at the venue?
There is no parking at the venue and parking is very limited in the centre of Oxford. We strongly recommend attendees use one of Oxford's park and ride facilities or travel to the venue by public transport.
Can I buy lunch on site?
No, but St John's College is in the centre of Oxford and there are lots of shops and cafes nearby. Tea and coffee will be available at various points throughout the day.
