The Oxford and Cambridge Classics Open Day is held on alternate years in Oxford and Cambridge.

In March 2024 the event will be held in Cambridge - you can book here: https://linktr.ee/classicsatcambridge

The 2024 Oxbridge Classics Open Day is a chance to find out more about applying to study Classics at Oxford and Cambridge, with course presentations, taster lectures, and opportunities to ask questions to current students and academics. Options to attend in person and online are available.

The programme will include a range of activities including; introductory talks, taster lectures, sessions covering Classics and joint school courses, common questions about the application process, and a teachers’ and parents' session. The aims of the day are to help young people make informed decisions about their university choices, encourage them to consider Classics as an exciting degree pathway, and to help them develop their interest in, and understanding of, the ancient world.

Who is the day for?

These open days are aimed at students aged 16+ (UK and abroad) interested in pursuing a Classics degree. They offer the chance to find out more about Classical subjects in general, but also the specific degree programmes offered by Oxford and Cambridge in particular.

Booking for online access is available to everyone now.

Booking for the In-Person day for those who have not had the opportunity to study ancient languages at school is available from 29th Jan.

*Due to limited in-person capacity we kindly ask that if you have already studied ancient languages at school you wait until the 5th February to book*

There is no minimum or maximum group size for school groups, but places are limited so we encourage you to book as early as possible.
