Photo Exhibition

A new permanent exhibition of portraits is ready to view in the Faculty of Classics.

The exhibition showcases current and former staff and students who originally hail from different parts of the UK - from Derry to Devon, Newcastle to Newport – including participants in the Classics Bridging Course. Head over to the Regional Classics Podcast page to hear their stories and experiences.

December 2021 - Ready to hang...

After a spell with Paul of Covered Arts, the photos were framed and ready to be placed on the wall. A special mention goes out to Graham who works for University Estates who hung the pictures so beautifully.

November 2021 - The Photo Shoot

We were delighted to welcome photographer, Ian Wallman into the faculty and even more delighted with the photos he took!

October 2021 - The Space

We identified the main stairwell at the Ioannou Centre as the perfect spot to showcase the exhibition. There were two images of ancient sites on the walls that we decided to move to the common room.
